Rob Zombie has put a gruesome spin on children’s books with Z Is For Zombie: Learning To Spell With House Of 1000 Corpses Friends. The book, illustrated by Pete Bregman, features the murderous Firefly family from House Of 1000 Corpses, The Devil’s Rejects, and 3 From Hell in a twisted take on classic kids’ spelling books.
Available now via Amazon and readneckbolt.com, the book playfully mimics the style of Little Golden Books while incorporating macabre examples fitting of Zombie’s horror legacy. Its dark humor has already sparked some controversy, with the Daily Mail picking up on online backlash. Zombie addressed the reaction on Instagram today, March 14th, saying, “Now this is hilarious! We are just trying to teach the children some good book learning.”
