From Ashes To New Release ‘Reflections’ Album And Debut “Forever” Music Video

Gold-certified nu-metal outfit From Ashes To New have officially launched their fifth studio album ‘Reflections’, arriving alongside a new music video for the track “Forever.”

The visual was directed by Orie McGinness, whose previous credits include videos for Bad Omens and Poppy.

Serving as one of the final songs completed for the record, “Forever” carries a reflective and emotionally heavy tone. Co-vocalist Matt Brandberry explained that the track came together late in the creative process, almost as if it needed the rest of the album to be finished first.

“‘Forever’ came together at the very end of the record, almost like it was waiting for everything else to fall into place before it could exist.”

He continued by describing the song as centered around regret and the aftermath of irreversible mistakes.

“There’s a sense of finality to it, like standing in the aftermath of something you can’t fix, realizing too late where it all went wrong. It paints a picture of how it feels when regret won’t let go.”

Brandberry also said the band intentionally challenged themselves creatively throughout the making of ‘Reflections’, choosing growth over comfort.

“The goal wasn’t to play it safe; it was to evolve and create something that sticks with you. ‘Forever’ doesn’t resolve cleanly… It lingers, and that’s exactly what we wanted.”

Interestingly, while ‘Reflections’ stands as the band’s fifth official studio album, the project was effectively rebuilt from scratch after the group reportedly scrapped an earlier batch of 16 demo songs and started over.
