ROTTEN SOUND To Release ‘Mass Extinction’ EP In December, Drop “Brave New World” Video

Finnish grindcore veterans Rotten Sound have announced their new EP, Mass Extinction, due out December 12th via Season Of Mist. The band has also unveiled a video for the blistering new single “Brave New World”, offering a fierce preview of what’s to come.

The band collectively commented on the track:

“This is one of the most aggressive songs on our new EP. ‘Brave New World’ is about how misinformation, polarization, conspiracy theories, and censorship have led people into a state of distrust. Our strong sense of community has been replaced by skepticism and fear. The fight for coherent and reliable information is now a constant struggle.”

The eight-song outing was crafted from the same sessions that produced 2023’s Apocalypse. Frontman Keijo Niinimaa added:

“We like to make concise statements. Bringing about real meaningful change seems to take forever. Misinformation, polarization, conspiracy theories, and censorship have made everyone more distrustful.”
