Salem Trials Release “Mercy Of God’s Hand” Video

Canadian deathcore outfit Salem Trials are setting the stage for their upcoming EP Heavy Is The Head with the release of a brand new music video for their track “Mercy Of God’s Hand.”

The new single arrives alongside a visually intense video that doubles down on the band’s bleak, apocalyptic tone, offering a first major preview of the record ahead of its release.

Speaking about the track, the band explained the narrative behind it:

“The song, ‘Mercy Of God’s Hand,’ follows a narrative of an enraged God horrified and disgusted by humanity. He sees no option but to bring swift and violent death to all mankind, to end the true nightmare it has become. God sends an army of terror to carry out his will, led by a beast wielding his full strength. Both lyrically and sonically, the song is meant to capture the same energy of old testament stories, channelling the farthest reaches of our frustrations with current events and the urge of many to start over. Though none of us are hoping for Armageddon, we know many cry out for a drastic shift in how the world is run. These lyrics, in a way, reflect on that sentiment.”

The track serves as one of the key early statements from Heavy Is The Head, positioning the EP as a heavy, narrative-driven release rooted in extremity and atmosphere.
