Scary Kids Scaring Kids have officially solidified their current lineup, welcoming vocalist Albert Schweizer and bassist/vocalist Colton “Coba” Westerman into the band as permanent members.
For Schweizer, the move marks the first time in more than a decade that the post-hardcore/melodic metalcore outfit have formally added a new full-time member. Guitarist/vocalist Chad Crawford and keyboardist/vocalist Pouyan Afkary explained that Schweizer’s expanded role simply formalizes an already-established relationship with the group.
“We never wanted to force this. Albert has been a huge part of this band for years, on and off stage. This feels less like making a change and more like acknowledging what’s been true to us for a long time now.”
With the lineup now officially rounded out as a quartet, Scary Kids Scaring Kids have also introduced their latest single, “Something In The Water”, featuring the newly solidified roster.
The track arrives ahead of the band’s next full-length, ‘RISE’, which is set for a January 8th release.
While Josh Kikta and Kash Jaeger are not part of the quartet’s official permanent lineup, the guitarist and drummer remain involved with Scary Kids Scaring Kids as touring and studio members and both contributed to ‘RISE’.
