Canadian emo rock duo Second Harbour have released their second single under SharpTone Records, debuting the video for “Mourning Dove.” The brothers created the video themselves and shared insight into the track’s emotional weight.
In a statement, the band explained:
“The lyrics to ‘Mourning Dove’ are hands down the most painful I’ve ever written. They’re made to spear you in the stomach, and unapologetically so. Coincidentally, they’re also my favorite lyrics of ours. I spent a lot of time making sure they could be read differently than they were heard, and I couldn’t be more proud of the song we built around them.”
Second Harbour will release their upcoming EP, Coalesce, on December 12th through SharpTone Records.
