Senses Fail have officially secured their third gold certification in the United States, as their 2006 single “Calling All Cars” reached the milestone on Thursday, March 19th.
The track originally arrived as the lead single from the band’s sophomore album ‘Still Searching’, and now joins another song from that same record in achieving gold status. The album’s second single, “Can’t Be Saved,” was previously certified gold in May 2022.
This latest accolade marks the third gold-certified release of the New Jersey post-hardcore outfit’s career. Their first came in March 2020 when their 2004 debut album ‘Let It Enfold You’ achieved gold certification in the U.S.
In the United States, a gold certification represents 500,000 units, while platinum signifies 1,000,000 units. Modern certification totals combine traditional album and single sales with streaming equivalents, where 10 permanent downloads equal one unit, 1,500 on-demand streams equal one album unit, and 150 song streams count as a track-equivalent unit.
