SepticFlesh will hit the road for their upcoming North American tour without guitarist Christos Antoniou, who is recovering from fractured and broken ribs sustained in a fall.
The Greek symphonic death metal band announced the news just ahead of the trek’s October 5 launch, explaining that Antoniou will miss the opening shows while he recovers. The group currently plans to perform as a three-piece before hopefully welcoming him back later in the tour.
“Unfortunately, due to a fall, Christos suffered fractured and broken ribs and will need some time to recover.”
The band added:
“We will take the stage as a three-piece, while Christos focuses on his recovery with the aim of rejoining the band later on the tour.”
The North American run will feature Arch Enemy, The Black Dahlia Murder, Crypta and Thrown Into Exile, beginning October 5 in Riverside, CA and continuing through November 16 in Seattle, WA.
