Metalcore veterans Shai Hulud have announced the cancellation of their planned Australian and New Zealand tour, originally scheduled for January 2026, citing low ticket sales. This trek would have marked the band’s first tour down under since 2013.
In a statement shared on December 15th, the group explained the financial risks of proceeding with the tour had become too great despite extensive planning, promotion, and members taking time off work. All tickets will be fully refunded.
The band also encouraged fans to support international tours through early ticket purchases, noting that pre-sales are crucial for making overseas shows financially viable.
“We’re really sorry to share this. After putting a lot of work into these shows…ticket sales in some locations just didn’t come together in a way that made the risk manageable for us…All tickets will be fully refunded.” – Shai Hulud
Shai Hulud concluded by thanking fans for their ongoing support and promising to continue focusing on the growth of the band in 2026.
