Multi-platinum hard rock staples Shinedown have revealed details surrounding their upcoming eighth studio album ‘EI8HT’, which is slated to arrive on May 29th. Alongside the announcement, the band have released the new single “Safe And Sound” as another preview of the record.
Frontman Brent Smith reflected on the effort behind the album and the band’s excitement to finally unveil it:
“This album is over a year in the making. Without question as a band we pushed ourselves like never before. Especially when it comes to Eric. Myself, Zach, and Barry are so honored to create, and work with such an extraordinary producer, engineer, mixer, songwriter, musician, performer, and band mate. We are so excited to finally announce our 8th Studio album titled ‘EI8HT’ alongside our ‘Dance Kid Dance Act II World Tour’.”
Speaking on the latest single, Smith added:
“‘Safe And Sound’ is about reminding the competition what they are dealing with one by one.”
Pre-orders for ‘EI8HT’ are now live. In tandem with the record’s release, the band will embark on their ‘Dance Kid Dance Act II World Tour’, featuring various support lineups including Coheed and Cambria, Black Stone Cherry, From Ashes To New, and Those Damn Crows, with DJ sets from Brian Storm opening select dates.
