Silvertomb have returned with another preview of their forthcoming studio album, releasing their new single “Graves In The Sky” alongside an accompanying music video.
The clip was directed by Tom Flynn, whose previous credits include work with Hatebreed and As I Lay Dying. The new track arrives ahead of Silvertomb‘s next full-length, “The Interpretation Of Nightmares,” which is scheduled for release on November 13th.
The band’s current lineup features several notable veterans of the heavy music scene, including former Type O Negative members Kenny Hickey and Johnny Kelly, alongside musicians with ties to Agnostic Front, Sheer Terror and other acts.
For Hickey, “Graves In The Sky” also represented a different creative approach for Silvertomb, with the song initially taking shape around acoustic guitar and piano.
“‘Graves In The Sky’ was a piece that was written from acoustic guitar and piano — a different creative approach for the band that yielded a new texture for the music, blending acoustic guitar, strings, and distorted guitar along with piano. I felt I was coming close to death at the time of writing this song and the lyrics deal with that reality!”
