Members of Code Orange and Pain Clinic are joining forces in a new project called Single Print Index.
Described as “Pittsburgh murder music,” the group is set to make their live debut on June 20 at Preserving Underground in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. While the exact lineup hasn’t been fully detailed, the band is said to feature members from the currently dormant Code Orange alongside contributors from hardcore outfit Pain Clinic.
That debut show will also serve as a celebration for Pain Clinic’s upcoming album ‘LOVE HURTS’, with the band headlining the event. Support will come from D Bloc, Madman, and Savage Primal Impulse.
The connection between the camps has already been active in recent weeks, with Code Orange vocalist Jami Morgan appearing on Pain Clinic’s single “Seeing Red”, the first preview of ‘LOVE HURTS’.
In the meantime, members of Code Orange have remained busy despite the band being on pause. Morgan and Eric “Shade” Balderose have been focusing on their industrial project NOWHERE2RUN, while guitarist/vocalist Reba Meyers has spent time performing with Marilyn Manson and Danny Elfman, in addition to working on her own solo material.
With Single Print Index now entering the mix, it appears that the extended Code Orange universe continues to evolve in new and unexpected directions.
