Skindred Share New ‘Planet Rock Live’ Session Featuring “Electric Avenue” Cover

Welsh ragga metal outfit Skindred have released a new Planet Rock Live session, revisiting their cover of Eddy Grant’s 1982 hit “Electric Avenue” alongside a selection of more recent material.

The band originally recorded their take on “Electric Avenue” for their third studio album Shark Bites And Dog Fights, and later brought the song back into their live set during a run of shows in 2024 after a long absence.

In the new live session, Skindred performed three tracks in total, including:

• “Electric Avenue”
• “You Got This”
• “That’s My Jam”

The performance also highlighted the title track from their recently released album You Got This, as well as their 2018 single “That’s My Jam”, showcasing the band’s mix of classic influences and modern material.

The session continues a strong live run for Skindred, who remain known for their high-energy fusion of metal, punk, and reggae elements.
