Skindred Drop ‘My People’ Video & Release New Album ‘You Got This’ Alongside Release Week Events

Welsh ragga metal pioneers Skindred have officially released their ninth studio album ‘You Got This’, arriving today, April 17th, alongside a new music video for the latest single “My People.”

The video was produced and filmed by Matt Higgs, continuing the rollout of the album’s visual campaign.

Frontman Benji Webbe described the track as a statement of identity and unity within the band’s long-running fusion of heavy metal and ragga energy:

“Calling My People. We have made our own way through this Ragga Metal Jungle doing what we do, forging and sculpting our own unique heavy metal sound system and this song in particular is Skindred mixing it up while breaking down barriers in as uncompromising way as possible. Here’s ‘My People’.”

To mark the album release, Skindred are also hosting a packed week of UK appearances, ranging from acoustic sets and store takeovers to sold-out in-store events.
