SKINDRED Unleash Empowering New Single “You Got This,” Announce Ninth Studio Album

UK ragga metal heavyweights Skindred have dropped the title track to their upcoming ninth studio album, “You Got This,” set to arrive on April 17th via Earache Records. The single lands alongside an uplifting Steve Clarke-directed music video.

The song’s message was inspired by a moment vocalist Benji Webbe witnessed at the gym, where a trainer encouraged a man recovering from a stroke by telling him, “You got this.” The phrase resonated deeply, sparking the creation of the album’s central anthem.

“I was watching from a distance, and I could see the struggle and the pain, but in that moment, I knew he had got this,” said Webbe. “It’s such an empowering statement and it applies to so many battles that everybody faces—whether it’s recovering from a stroke or studying for your exams. For me, having songs that lift people who are going through tough times is the most important thing. I feel like that’s what I’m put on this planet to do.”

The album was produced and mixed by Jay Ruston (Stone Sour, Anthrax), marking another high-energy chapter in the band’s genre-bending legacy.
