Reunited Nü-Metal Band Skrape Confirm Plans For New Music And Touring

Skrape have shared new details about their plans following the band’s recent reunion.

The group, which had been inactive since 2004, officially announced its return in February. Their comeback raised questions among fans about who would be involved this time around, particularly since drummer Will Hunt went on to achieve wider fame performing with Evanescence and other acts.

According to a new statement released on March 8, original vocalist Billy Keeton is leading the band’s revival. Keeton co-founded the group alongside Hunt and is now spearheading a new era for Skrape with a fresh lineup and renewed creative direction. While the identities of the other members have not yet been revealed, the band confirmed that work on new material is already underway and touring plans are in development.

Keeton reflected on the band’s legacy while emphasizing that the focus is firmly on the future.

“SKRAPE has always been about energy, intensity, and connection with the fans. This isn’t about looking backward — it’s about building something powerful moving forward. We’re writing new music, and the goal is to take this band into the next chapter the right way.”

Skrape first gained recognition in the early 2000s with their RCA Records debut album New Killer America, followed by the 2004 release Up the Dose. During their original run, the band toured with several major heavy acts, including Pantera, Slayer, Static-X, and Disturbed.

Their single Waste also charted on Billboard at the time, helping establish the band as one of the rising forces in the early 2000s heavy music scene.

Looking ahead, Skrape say the next phase of the band will center on releasing new music and returning to the stage. Additional details about the lineup, upcoming material, and tour plans are expected to be announced in the coming months.
