Slash Feat. Myles Kennedy And The Conspirators are gearing up for another chapter with the announcement of their new studio album ‘Flying Blind’, along with an extensive 2027 world tour.
The new record is scheduled for release on February 26 through Gibson Records, with Michael “Elvis” Baskette once again handling production. Much of the album was recorded live at Studio Barbarosa in Florida, with Slash describing the sessions as a particularly spontaneous experience.
“It’s a really fun, kind of spontaneous rock ’n’ roll record. It’s very straightforward and down-to-earth and raw.”
The band have also shared a music video for the ‘Flying Blind’ title track, directed by John Harvatine IV.
Slash explained that the song came together quickly during pre-production, beginning with a riff that he had not previously developed into a full song.
“Created in the studio while we were standing there in pre-production, a riff came to me and started developing. I had nothing of that song prior to those guys coming in, and then we started up a night of rehearsal and played that riff. It came together really quickly.”
He also explained why the track ultimately became the album’s first single.
“When I started thinking about it, ‘Flying Blind’ just seemed to have the right kind of melodic sensibilities and a hook to make it single material.”
The album will also feature a few new twists for the guitarist. “Good Time Girl” will feature a talk box, while “Looking For A Miracle” marks the first song Slash has written and recorded featuring pedal steel.
The complete ‘Flying Blind’ tracklist is:
- “Avarice And Greed”
- “Good Time Girl”
- “Thrill Seeker”
- “One Of Your Kind”
- “Flying Blind”
- “Looking For A Miracle”
- “Sweet Kill”
- “Here In Babylon”
- “Living The Dream”
- “(Don’t) Thread The Needle”
- “Rev My Heart”
- “Stem The Flow”
Pre-orders for ‘Flying Blind’ are currently available, while the band’s 2027 touring campaign will begin in South America before moving through North America and Europe.
