The Smashing Pumpkins have been announced as part of the lineup for the upcoming America250 concert set to take place on July 4 in Los Angeles, California.
The event, backed by the congress-established nonprofit America250, will be held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum as part of celebrations leading up to the United States’ 250th anniversary. The organization, founded in 2016, aims to promote awareness and civic engagement around the milestone.
According to the official announcement, Chris Stapleton, The Smashing Pumpkins, and additional artists are scheduled to perform at the event. Queen Latifah will serve as host, and a portion of the proceeds will go toward the Giving 4th initiative.
The concert is separate from other similarly named events and is officially supported by the nonpartisan America250 organization.
