Snot Announce New Vocalist, Debuts Live at Anaheim Show

Snot kept fans in suspense about their new vocalist ahead of their reunion shows, choosing to make the big reveal live on stage. That moment arrived last night (January 17) at the House of Blues Parish Room in Anaheim, CA, when Andy Knapp of Stronger Than Machines was unveiled as the band’s frontman.

Guitarist Mikey Doling explained the secrecy, saying:

“I wanted to let y’all know the reason that we haven’t let you know who the singer is, is strictly because social media can be brutal and they would just go right to his — I don’t know; his Facebook, Instagram or whatnot — and start scrutinizing him before he even got on stage with Snot.”

Knapp‘s debut was nothing short of explosive, bringing intense energy and an edge that fit Snot’s raw, fiery vibe perfectly. The band now consists of Knapp, guitarists Mikey Doling and Sonny Mayo, bassist John “Tumor” Fahnestock, and drummer Jamie Miller.

While no one can truly replace the late, legendary Lynn Strait, who tragically passed in 1998, Knapp appears to be a strong fit for the band’s dynamic sound.
