SNOT Part Ways with Guitarist Sonny Mayo, GOD FORBID’s Doc Coyle To Step In

SNOT are undergoing a lineup shift, as founding rhythm guitarist Sonny Mayo has officially stepped away from the band. Lead guitarist Mikey Doling shared a video statement confirming the news, explaining:

“Sonny Mayo has decided to quit Snot. Snot doesn’t fit into his life right now, and he just wants to focus on himself and his life, and Snot’s just too busy for him to be able to continue. So I’d like to wish Sonny Mayo the best of luck in his future. And I want to thank him for all he’s contributed to Snot over the years. We love you brother.”

Mayo’s departure comes just as SNOT ramp back up following their recent reactivation with new vocalist Andy Knapp.

Stepping in for Mayo on the band’s upcoming tour dates will be Doc Coyle of God Forbid and ex-Bad Wolves. According to Doling, it was actually Mayo who suggested Coyle for the role.

In addition to teasing new material, SNOT are scheduled to perform at a number of notable festivals and headline dates this year. Their current schedule includes:
