SOiL have officially returned with “Enemy X,” their first all-new single in more than a decade. The track’s premiere arrives alongside the announcement that the veteran hard rock outfit have signed a new record deal with Better Noise Music, marking a significant development for the band’s next chapter.
The new partnership comes just as SOiL prepare to hit the road for an upcoming UK headlining tour alongside Finger Eleven and Adema.
Bassist Tim King shared his enthusiasm about joining the Better Noise Music roster, praising the label’s team and expressing excitement about bringing the band’s new material to listeners.
“SOiL could not be more excited to sign with Better Noise Music. What can I say — they are the BEST at what they do in the music business and beyond. It’s a dream come true to work with Allen Kovac and his top notch team of industry experts. We can’t wait to unleash the new SOiL material to the world with them.”
King also offered some insight into the inspiration behind “Enemy X,” describing the song as a reflection of the division, hostility and negativity dominating much of the world today.
“‘Enemy X’ is a song that is a voice for everything going on in the world today. The turmoil, the fighting, the finger pointing, the negatives. So many people focus on the drama and negative aspects of life that they lose sight of the important things. That leads to anger and confusion and eventually, hatred. At the end of the day, as the lyrics to ‘Enemy X’ state: ‘DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHO YOU’RE OUT HERE FIGHTING? DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT SIDE YOU’RE ON?’ We want people to self-reflect, the world needs it right now.”
With new music finally arriving and a fresh label partnership in place, SOiL appear ready to enter an exciting new chapter. The band will begin their UK run tonight, with the tour continuing through November 15.
