Avant-grind outfit Squid Pisser have released a new single titled “Fart F***** F*** Face” from their upcoming EP, ‘Throat Slave.’
Frontman, guitarist and songwriter Tommy Meehan (aka Baxter Yogurt) shared the inspiration behind the track, explaining that it explores the consequences of denying one’s true identity and the resentment that can develop toward those who choose to live authentically.
“Our new single is about what can happen when you spend your life pretending to be someone you’re not. Denying yourself doesn’t make those feelings disappear. It can turn them into anger, bitterness, and hatred toward people who have the courage to live honestly. The song is about trusting yourself and refusing to become another miserable hypocrite telling everyone else how to live.”
‘Throat Slave’ is scheduled for release on August 28 through Skin Graft Records and Sweatband Records.
The band will support the EP with their upcoming “Tumors Across America Tour,” which launches August 19 and runs through September 13.
