Another new track from Stray From The Path has been released called “The First Will Be The Last” and it can be heard below. The band’s new album “Internal Atomics” which features the track, will be released on November 01st. The album is very much inspired by the band’s recent trip to Kenya where they oversaw the installation of water filters in villages outside Nairobi via the NGO Actions Not Words Kenya and the non-profit organization, Hardcore Help Foundation.
While speaking to Billboard.com, Tom Williams (guitarist) stated:
“A big topic of the whole record is we want people to start acknowledging that some people don’t have everything that we have in America. We’ve been to the highest places like Japan, where cops don’t carry guns and the society is super overworked, and we’ve been to Africa, where people can’t turn on their faucets without getting sick because their water is so unclean. We’ve experienced all this stuff around the world, but we have people here who are clutching their pearls and wanting to protect their money, and they don’t understand that other people don’t have that.”
“I feel like the song is super important to open up the next generation to understand we need to help each other. If we want to start changing the world as we know it, we’ve got to start considering other people’s health and well-being, not just our own.”
