Atlanta-based metalcore band Sunmancer has unveiled their latest single, “Lower Cavalier,” accompanied by an official visualizer available below. This track is the third release from their upcoming EP, Everything Falls Apart. While a release date for the EP has not yet been announced, fans can expect news soon.
The band recently appeared on the ‘Shred Sessions Podcast‘ with Drew Creal from Nashville, TN bands Xaphon and Proselyte. They discussed their formation, lyrical themes, gear, touring with August Burns Red, and more. You can find the full interview below as well.
Justin Mazlik, the band’s frontman offered the following regarding meaning of the song:
“The song explores how friendships and relationships can turn sour, revealing that those you once considered extremely close can ultimately become nothing more than a waste of time. Lyrically, it’s almost a ‘Part II’ to our song “Revolver“”

I’ve reached too far to reconnect. The dead of night hints to hold retrospect. In distant memory desertion remains. Gun in your mouth talk. Held safe to say we’ll never share the same words again. Comfort will wish you well to miss the point. Capture fault for my own. After all these years we mean absolutely nothing now. Dismissive to warrant your reasoning. Never speak of this and I kept her across my heart. Yet apology has nothing to show for itself when you’ve surpassed disregard. I’ve been looking at this all wrong. Illuminate my ignorance. Unrelenting burden of abandonment, please repurpose my failure for another day, that will never come. Detach myself from what was truly unremarkable.
