    Ted Nugent Calls Out His ‘Good Friend’ Tom Morello: “You’re Not Raging Against The Machine — You Are The Machine”

    Veteran rocker and outspoken conservative Ted Nugent has once again ignited controversy, this time taking aim at Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello — despite previously referring to him as a close personal friend.

    The comments surfaced in a new video uploaded to Nugent’s official YouTube channel on January 1 as part of his ongoing The Spirit Campfire series. The episode, titled ‘Talk Music With Uncle Ted’, sees Nugent reflecting on artists he admires, while also launching into pointed criticism of several high-profile Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees.

    Among those mentioned were Jack White of The White Stripes, Green Day, Eminem, and Morello, with Nugent focusing less on their musicianship and more on their political views.

    The remarks may come as a surprise to longtime fans, as Morello previously described Nugent as a “good friend” during a 2017 interview with The Guardian, citing shared beliefs around free speech despite stark ideological differences.

    “Ted Nugent’s a good friend to me,” Morello said at the time. “We have very similar views on freedom of speech… We’re able to talk about it as friends as opposed to people on the opposite sides of the barricade.”

    In the new video, Nugent criticized multiple artists while still acknowledging their musical ability, at times praising their talent before pivoting sharply to political grievances. Speaking about Jack White and Eminem, Nugent described their music as “soulful,” but derided their political stances in blunt terms.

    His harshest words were reserved for Morello, whose activism has long been central to his public persona.

    “Like Tom Morello… who played with Springsteen and Rage Against The Machine — when actually they are the machine,” Nugent said. “Come on Tom, you got to know that. You’re not raging against the machine. You are the machine.”

    Nugent went on to challenge Morello directly, inviting him to appear on his show to debate their differences.

    Morello has been outspoken in his opposition to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids, critical of former President Donald Trump, and vocal in addressing conservative criticism aimed at Rage Against The Machine over the years — positions that appear to have fueled Nugent’s latest comments.

    Interestingly, the episode wasn’t entirely confrontational. Nugent also used the platform to praise rising British artist YUNGBLUD, applauding his raw energy and recent collaborations with Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and Joe Perry.

    “This guy’s the real McCoy,” Nugent said. “It gives you hope that the really piss and vinegar… Chuck Berry, Little Richard spirit is alive and well in this kid called YUNGBLUD.”

    As with many of Nugent’s public statements, the episode has quickly drawn strong reactions across the rock and metal community, reigniting debate over the intersection of music, politics, and legacy artists.

        1) nothing he is doing is any different than how he always operated and compared to Ted, Tom doesn’t seem to feel the need to remind everyone how he is correct and you are wrong. Ted NEEDS to tell you that or he’s going to whine.
        2) Tom has defended maintaining his friendship with Ted numerous times and he doesn’t seem to have any interest in discussing any details. He especially doesn’t do what Ted just did for this article, which is naming Tom and other musicians specifically in an effort to blast their political beliefs. The only person who seems to care about this is Ted, which isn’t surprising considering all this behavior seems to be a trend with MAGA folks. Some of the softest soyboys I’ve ever seen.

Has held the exact same political beliefs as the all the ivy ledgue schools as well as the same political beliefs as the Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Joe Biden.           Tim Shuller the IQ difference between both is relatively small. A 5-6 point difference between the two with very liberal having an IQ of 106 and very conservative having an IQ of 95 both fall into mid average. Conservatives and classical liberals have been found to have a higher verbal IQ than liberals however. Unfortunately IQ doesn’t necessarily mean you are conventionally “smart”. IQ realy only measures abstract problem solving skills, it does not gage ones ability to apply that intellect in the real world. When it comes to IQ a 5-6 point difference is considerd small, so sure on paper liberals tend to have a higher IQ but it isnt a significant enough difference to form any conclusions on.

      Stranglehold is still on most rock stations playlists. I have not heard Rage Against the Machine. On a rock and roll radio station in years. Strangle, hold is played several times a day.All over the country on several rock stations. Granted, this is the only song he ever had that I liked.Because someone else was singing. But ted is three times physical guitarist that tom is. Tom works affects and has to replace his volume. Knob twenty times during a tour. Also, Tommy is a liberal so that completely cancels you in my book. I don’t care how good you are with an instrument.
