Puddle Of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin will not serve jail time following his 2025 arrest, instead receiving a court-mandated diversion sentence tied to substance rehabilitation.
According to a report from TMZ, Scantlin has been ordered to complete a one-year diversion program requiring his enrollment in — and successful completion of — a drug rehabilitation program. The ruling stems from charges filed after his arrest last March in Torrance, California.
Authorities detained Scantlin following an alleged domestic incident involving his girlfriend, which resulted in charges that included domestic violence and drug possession. Under the terms of a plea agreement, the sentencing applies specifically to the drug possession charge, while the remaining counts connected to the case have reportedly been dismissed.
The singer, who has faced multiple legal issues over the years tied to erratic behavior and substance-related incidents — including prior jail time — will be required to demonstrate compliance with the court’s conditions moving forward.
Scantlin is scheduled to return to court on May 29th for a progress hearing to review his participation in the program.
