Underoath have wrapped up their run of live videos from this year’s Vans Warped Tour with newly released footage of “Damn Excuses.”
The performance was captured during the band’s Long Beach, California appearance earlier this summer, giving fans another look at the metalcore veterans’ set from the festival. The release also brings the current series of live clips from that performance to a close.
Keyboardist Chris Dudley singled out “Damn Excuses” as one of the heaviest songs in Underoath’s catalog, explaining why the track has become a reliable choice when the band wants to turn up the intensity during their live set.
“‘Damn Excuses’ is just one of the heaviest songs we’ve ever written, period. When we include it in the set it’s always because we want to get gnar.”
With their latest Warped Tour footage now complete, Underoath are preparing to hit the road again this fall for the 20th anniversary of their landmark album ‘Define The Great Line’. The tour will feature August Burns Red and Atreyu throughout, with As Cities Burn joining the first portion and Emery appearing on the latter dates.
