Temple Of Bones have officially joined the Relapse Records roster, with the fledgling death metal quartet preparing to release their debut album, ‘Walk The Winds’, later this year.
The band brings together veterans of Ripping Corpse, Dim Mak, Lord Sterling, Full Speed Ahead and Torture Krypt, with the current lineup consisting of:
- Vocals: Scott Ruth (Ripping Corpse, Dim Mak)
- Guitar: Mike Schweigert (Lord Sterling, Full Speed Ahead)
- Bass: Dennis Carroll (Torture Krypt, Dim Mak)
- Drums: Brandon Thomas (Ripping Corpse, Dim Mak)
According to Schweigert, the project began several years ago after he started developing riffs and reached out to Thomas about working on them together.
“A couple years back I started coming up with some riffs and I really wanted to hammer them out with a drummer. So I sent Brandon a text asking if he’d want to work on them and see if we could make something of them and if we did, maybe demo them…Slowly, we realized we needed a bassist and vocalist and that’s when Dennis and Scott started jamming with us too and really solidified the band.”
‘Walk The Winds’ is slated for release on November 13 through Relapse Records. The six-track album was co-produced by Monster Magnet guitarist Phil Caivano alongside the band, with pre-orders now available.
Temple Of Bones have also unveiled the album’s opening track, “Black Horizon,” offering the first preview of their upcoming debut.
