The Contortionist appear to be preparing their return with new music, marking what would be the Indianapolis progressive metal band’s first new material in seven years.
The group recently shared a new clip on social media featuring the members together in the studio. In the footage, the band can be seen listening back to recorded material, with a brief snippet of the new music also audible.
While The Contortionist have yet to officially announce a new release, the studio footage suggests that the band may have new material on the way.
The group’s most recent release was the four-song EP ‘Our Bones’, which arrived in August 2019. The EP followed the band’s 2017 full-length album ‘Clairvoyant’.
Should the new material lead to an official release, it would mark The Contortionist’s first new music since ‘Our Bones’.
