The Violent Hour have reached a major milestone in the creation of their debut album. The project — led by husband-and-wife duo Carla Harvey (ex-Butcher Babies) and Charlie Benante (Anthrax, Pantera) — is officially halfway through the recording process.
Harvey shared the update with fans on March 17th, offering a glimpse into the band’s studio progress while confirming they’ve been working alongside acclaimed producer Johnny K, known for his work with Disturbed and Megadeth.
In her message, Harvey expressed excitement about the material currently taking shape and the collaborative process behind it.
“Half an album in the can Ahhhh!!! Can’t wait for you to hear new The Violent Hour!! I’m so proud of this next batch of songs that I wrote with @charbenante and @skulltownsounds! LOVED working with @johnnykarkazis (he’s made some of your favorite albums).”
While additional details regarding a release window or singles have yet to be revealed, the update signals steady momentum for the band’s first full-length effort, which marks Harvey’s next major creative chapter following her departure from Butcher Babies.
More information on the album is expected in the coming months as recording continues.
