Thrown Into Exile have officially entered a new era with the release of their latest single “Behind The Veil.”
The track arrived alongside a new music video directed by Vicente Cordero, known for his work with Hollywood Undead and Cradle Of Filth. The song premiered earlier this week on Liquid Metal before landing online in full.
Most notably, “Behind The Veil” marks the recorded debut of new vocalist Joshua Santos, who officially replaces longtime frontman Evan Seidlitz.
The band confirmed Seidlitz’s departure earlier this week, describing the split as amicable and tied to life changes and the demands of touring.
In their statement, the band reflected on the exit:
“After 3 years, Evan Seidlitz will be stepping away as vocalist of Thrown Into Exile. Evan has been an integral part of this band’s history since its inception, and we’re grateful for every show, song, and moment we shared.”
“As life and priorities evolve, so do the paths people take. The reality is that life happened, and the responsibilities of touring created a strain that pulled us in different directions.”
The group emphasized that there is no bad blood, adding that the focus remains on moving forward with a renewed lineup and creative direction.
On Santos stepping in, the band added:
“The addition of Joshua Santos brings a whole new dynamic to Thrown Into Exile. This is a more extreme side of the band that hasn’t really been explored before, and this is just a taste of what’s coming.”
Musically, “Behind The Veil” pushes the band further into a darker blend of blackened melodic death metal, signaling a noticeable shift in tone compared to earlier material.
The group also confirmed their signing with BLKIIBLK Records earlier this year, setting the stage for their next full-length release.
