Australian deathcore outfit Thy Art Is Murder appear to be preparing to record new material with their recently announced vocalist, Jerry Grimefeld.
The band revealed Grimefeld as their new frontman last month, following the departure of Tyler Miller. Grimefeld, who also pursues a career as a rapper, has previously been involved with Honest Crooks and Vengeance.
In a video shared by Thy Art Is Murder on social media today, August 8th, Grimefeld revealed that the band were flying him out to New Jersey to record vocals.
It remains unclear when the footage was recorded, as Thy Art Is Murder still have several dates remaining on their current European tour.
The New Jersey connection has also led to speculation regarding who may be handling production duties on the new material.
Will Putney, the GRAMMY Award-winning producer and musician, has maintained a long working relationship with Thy Art Is Murder and has handled production duties for the band on previous releases. As a result, fans have already begun speculating that Putney could once again be involved with the band’s upcoming material.
For now, Thy Art Is Murder have not officially announced a new album or provided details regarding what they are recording with Jerry Grimefeld.
