Thy Art Is Murder took the stage with a different vocalist today, July 29th, as the Australian deathcore outfit kicked off their European summer run at Rockstadt Extreme Festival in Ghimbav, Romania.
While the band have yet to publicly comment on widespread speculation surrounding vocalist Tyler Miller’s status, today’s performance featured Jerry Grimefeld (ex-Honest Crooks, Vengeance) handling frontman duties. Grimefeld previously filled in for the band during select performances earlier this year.
Rumors regarding Miller’s departure have circulated online in recent weeks, with fans pointing to changes across his social media profiles as potential evidence that he is no longer involved with the group. Neither Miller nor Thy Art Is Murder have officially addressed the situation.
Miller joined the band in 2023 following the highly publicized dismissal of longtime vocalist CJ McMahon, who was removed from the lineup amid controversy surrounding his public statements.
Fan-filmed footage from today’s performance has already begun surfacing online, marking Grimefeld’s first appearance fronting the band during their current European and UK touring cycle.
The trek continues through mid-August with appearances at several major festivals, including Wacken Open Air, Brutal Assault, Alcatraz Festival, Dynamo Metalfest, and Summer Breeze.
