Tigercub have premiered the music video for their new single ‘I’m Breaking Out’, which arrived online today, January 23rd.
The British alternative rock trio teamed up with Three Bros Media to direct the visual, pairing the track’s emotional weight with a stripped-back, performance-driven presentation. Vocalist and guitarist Jamie Hall offered insight into the song’s lyrical themes, framing it as a moment of personal clarity rather than conflict.
“‘I’m Breaking Out’ attempts to express the futility of incompatibility and looks beyond it,” Hall explained. “I’m trying to navigate someone’s emotions like unfamiliar water… trying to get past the façade. But I can’t, and the song is ultimately about giving myself permission to stop trying.”
The single will appear on Tigercub’s upcoming fourth studio album, Nets To Catch The Wind, which is scheduled for release on April 10th via Loosegroove Records—the label founded by Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard.
With the new album on the horizon, ‘I’m Breaking Out’ serves as an early glimpse into Tigercub’s next chapter, balancing introspective lyricism with the band’s gritty alternative edge.
