Tom Morello‘s ‘Power To The People’ festival will be available to watch online for free this weekend, with MS NOW hosting a livestream through its YouTube channel.
The inaugural event is scheduled for Saturday, October 3 at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. The livestream will begin at 1:00 p.m. ET, with no MS NOW membership required to watch the broadcast.
Curated by Morello, the one-day festival is billed by its organizers as a celebration of “peace, love, justice and music,” with the event also incorporating community and civic-engagement elements.
The lineup brings together performers from across rock, metal, punk, hip-hop and alternative music, including Foo Fighters, Dave Matthews, Joan Baez, Public Enemy, Dropkick Murphys, Cypress Hill, Killer Mike, Serj Tankian, Brittany Howard, Taylor Momsen, Geezer Butler, Mike McCready, Scott Ian, Matt Cameron, The Linda Lindas, grandson, State Radio, The Last Internationale and The Neighborhood Kids.
Bruce Springsteen is also booked as a special guest, while Morello himself will perform during the festival.
Another notable collaboration comes from Jack Black, who will perform with a young group of musicians including Roman Morello, Revel Ian, Yoyoka Soma and Hugo Weiss.
The event is sold out, making the free livestream the primary way for fans unable to attend in person to watch the performances.
The livestream will be available through the official Power To The People broadcast on MS NOW’s YouTube channel beginning at 1:00 p.m. ET on October 3.
