Tomahawk are officially back.
The alternative metal supergroup — featuring members of Mr. Bungle, The Jesus Lizard and Battles — have confirmed their first U.S. tour in 13 years. Joining them for the summer trek will be sludge metal legends Melvins.
Guitarist Duane Denison framed the reunion with a tongue-in-cheek competitive spirit, stating:
“In the spirit of the Olympics, Team Tomahawk has decided to rise up and go for the gold once again – also competing will be our cohorts the Melvins.”
Melvins frontman Buzz Osborne added:
“This tour is a no brainer. I can’t wait. A Melvins/Tomahawk trek will be a stone groove.”
For this run, Melvins will perform with Dale Crover, Steven McDonald and Coady Willis alongside Osborne.
The outing has been fittingly dubbed ‘A Huge Waste Of Your Time And Money Tour’. An artist pre-sale begins Wednesday, February 25th at 10:00am local time using the password Flashback, with general ticket sales launching Friday, February 27th at 10:00am local time.

Is it just me or does it seem that Patton will do everything but FNM, not that there’s anything wrong with that.
