The influence of System Of A Down continues to reach far beyond the early 2000s nü-metal scene. Most recently, their chaotic and unpredictable energy made its way into the Florida underground, as Chicago-based slam band Torture worked a live cover of “Suite-Pee” into their set.
The moment took place during Torture’s performance at the American Legion Post 92 in Hollywood, FL this past Friday, June 20th. A fan-filmed video captures the blistering cover and the crowd’s explosive response—complete with furious crowdkilling and mosh pit mayhem that channeled the same unhinged spirit SOAD first tapped into on their 1998 debut.
“Suite-Pee”, originally featured as the opening track on System Of A Down, remains one of the most frenzied and unfiltered tracks in the band’s discography—making it a natural fit for Torture’s aggressive setlist.
Watch the footage below and see how one nü-metal classic continues to ignite new generations of chaos.
