A preliminary trial date has reportedly been set for former Turnstile guitarist Brady Ebert.
Earlier this year, Ebert was arrested following a March 29th altercation involving William Yates, the 79-year-old father of Turnstile vocalist Brendan Yates. According to previous reports, the incident escalated after a verbal exchange and resulted in William Yates suffering a severely broken leg.
Ebert was initially charged with attempted second-degree murder and first-degree assault. However, those charges were upgraded in April to attempted first-degree murder. If convicted, he could face a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison.
According to Lambgoat, Ebert’s trial is currently scheduled to begin on October 5th in Rockville, Maryland.
Ebert has previously maintained that he acted in “pure self defense” in connection with the incident.
The guitarist parted ways with Turnstile in 2022, with the split reportedly proving contentious.
