Steve “Stevic” MacKay, the guitarist and creative force behind the now-defunct Australian genre-bending metal outfit Twelve Foot Ninja, has officially launched a new chapter. In a candid update, MacKay revealed he has regained full rights to the Twelve Foot Ninja catalog and is preparing a brand-new project with a fresh lineup—one that he describes as a spiritual continuation of the band’s legacy.

To celebrate the moment, MacKay has released a digital compilation titled “The Silly Sausage Survival Pack”, which pulls together the band’s discography and rare offerings into one comprehensive collection. The release includes:
- New Dawn (2008)
- Smoke Bomb (2010)
- Silent Machine (Bonus Edition, 2012)
- Outlier (Bonus Edition, 2016)
- “Stuck With You” single (2020)
- Vengeance (2022)
- Mutant Dreams & Face Transplants (2024)
Fans can pick up the set now via twelvefootninja.com.
The compilation follows the recent removal of the band’s music from streaming platforms. Addressing this, MacKay explained that previous label arrangements have been dissolved and that former members are not involved in the new direction. While respectful of their past contributions, he clarified that this next phase is being built independently—with no label, no returning members, and a new vocalist.
“TL;DR: Flicked my parallel reality fridge magnet, got ALL my rights back, initiated Twelve Foot Ninja v2.0. New EP in the works. No label, no former members. New vocalist.”
MacKay emphasized that this isn’t a reboot or a tribute—it’s a continuation of what he started nearly 18 years ago:
“The compositional approach, music production, comics, humour, and music videos are tethered to my creative identity. I make stuff because I love it, and what I make sounds and looks like Twelve Foot Ninja—because it is.”
In true Stevic fashion, the announcement was wrapped with humor and grit, even teasing old merch pallets that recently resurfaced and a subtle jab at individuals allegedly holding onto materials for “leverage.”
“If you want to stick with me, pull up a pue and help yourself to a silly sausage – I’ve got farkin’ heaps of ’em!”
As fans brace for what’s next, one thing is clear—Stevic MacKay isn’t letting the Ninja legacy fade. Instead, he’s rewriting it on his own terms.
