A New TYPE O NEGATIVE Live Album Is On The Way

A brand-new live album from the legendary, platinum-certified goth metal band Type O Negative is currently in the works.

Former guitarist Kenny Hickey revealed during an interview with Loaded Radio that the band’s team is deep in the mixing process for the project, which features a past live performance.

“We’re actually working on a live album right now. Yeah, we’re in the mixing process… So I’m excited about that. [We’re] working on the artwork now.”

Type O Negative officially came to an end in 2010 following the passing of their iconic frontman Peter Steele. While rumors of a reunion or tribute performance have circulated over the years, nothing has materialized — largely due to the continued reluctance of former keyboardist/vocalist Josh Silver to participate.

Still, Hickey noted that if the opportunity ever arose, a suitable live stand-in for Steele has already volunteered to step in.
