UADA and Mortiis will team up next spring for a wide-reaching North American co-headlining run, bringing two decades of contrasting black metal and industrial darkness to venues across the U.S. and Canada. Support will come from Rome (the project helmed by Jerome Reuter) and Wraith Knight.
UADA will be marking a pair of major milestones on the trek. Each night will include a full 10th-anniversary performance of their debut album ‘Devoid Of Light’, along with a special set honoring 30 years of Ceremonial Castings.
The band shared the following in a statement reflecting on the tour’s curation and significance:
“It has been a profound honor to play a central role in assembling this distinctive and richly diverse touring package. The line-up carries deep personal history and influence for me, while also embodying some of the most cherished milestones of my own musical journey.
As someone who has always appreciated the artistry of thoughtfully mixed bills—an approach that feels increasingly rare in today’s landscape—this particular combination is especially meaningful and should deliver a strikingly unique, yet cohesive experience for those in attendance.
Above all, this tour is my gift to the fans: an opportunity to witness a moment that may never come again, to discover extraordinary talents they might not yet know, and to share an evening that I sincerely hope will live on as an unforgettable memory.”
Mortiis, meanwhile, will be revisiting ‘The Smell Of Rain’ in honor of its upcoming 25th anniversary, performing selections from the 2001 record along with other material tied to the next phase of his evolving sound.
He added:
“While creating and uncreating, sometimes composing, and occasionally violently invoking, the music and sounds that are set to be my new album, it is growing increasingly apparent to me, that I am occasionally calling upon some old ghosts of the past.
I can hear (sometimes clearly, other times faintly) some musical echoes from ‘The Smell Of Rain’ days…
It seems natural to now unearth several of the songs from ‘The Smell Of Rain’ (and other music of similar dispirit!) as a first step into the bleak dystopian dreamscapes Mortiis appears to be heading into from here on out.
So here I am, clawing through a quarter-century-old recordings, preparing for 2026.”
