Until I Wake is back with a brand new single, “Hole Hearted,” signaling the start of a new chapter for the Buffalo, NY-based melodic metalcore band. The track is accompanied by a video featuring raw footage of the band on the road, capturing their relentless energy. This release is especially significant as it marks the first to feature new vocalist Justin Smith, who stepped in last year to replace Cody Jamison Johnson. Landon Tewers, frontman of the gold-certified metalcore outfit The Plot In You, took the reins as producer for this track.
The band had this to say about “Hole Hearted”:
“The song was written to bring more awareness to mental health. It speaks about the struggles of navigating anxiety, depression, and other mental illnesses. It addresses the feeling of constantly battling our own minds to live the life we want to live.
We knew this could be the song which truly ties the whole concept of ‘growth’ together. We’d love for this song to be something someone could use to help them reshape or rebuild their own lives in a positive way.”
