Tragedy has struck the Venezuelan music scene after all four members of nü-metal band Van Der Dijs were killed during a series of earthquakes that hit parts of Venezuela on June 24th.
According to a report from Últimas Noticias, the band were rehearsing in La Guaira when the quake caused the building they were inside to collapse.
The victims have been identified as vocalist Manuel van Der Dijs, guitarist Gabriel Gómez, bassist Xander Hernández, and drummer Abraham Foucault. Their bodies were later recovered from the rubble of the Costamar II building.
The earthquakes caused widespread destruction across the region, leaving thousands dead and injured, with emergency response and recovery efforts still ongoing.
Tributes have since poured in across social media from fans, friends, and fellow musicians remembering the band and their impact on the local scene.
The Mosh Network extends its condolences to the families, friends, and loved ones of the band members during this devastating time.
