Vanna Unveil First New Song Since 2016, “Quiet Place”

After their reunion last summer for the 15th anniversary of their sophomore album A New Hope, Boston, MA-based post-hardcore band Vanna have dropped their first new single since 2016, “Quiet Place”. Chris Preece has returned to front the band, with Davey Muise not involved in this latest iteration. Muise, who was previously the target of several allegations in 2020, has since issued a public statement about his mental health and recovery journey.

In his statement, Muise acknowledged the struggles he’s faced with mental health, trauma, and unlearning toxic behavior. He explained:

“Throughout the last decade, I’ve been on a journey that has taken me to the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. My mental health recovery from my trauma-filled past has been a constant struggle throughout my life. It will always be.”

Muise also admitted to creating unhealthy dynamics within certain relationships due to his lack of boundaries, resulting in harm. He continued:

“I created a space in which unknown harm could be done… I lacked healthy boundaries for myself, which made it impossible to create healthy friendships with those people.”

The former frontman expressed his ongoing commitment to therapy and growth, adding:

“I will strive every day to constantly be a better version of myself, meet myself where I’m at and never take for granted the journeys and experiences of others.”

Muise has also taken a step back from public life to focus on his mental health work and continue his healing process.

Meanwhile, Vanna’s lineup for their new track “Quiet Place” includes Chris Preece, guitarist/vocalist Evan Pharmakis, guitarist/vocalist Nick Lambert, bassist/vocalist Shawn Marquis, and drummer Brandon Davis, marking the revival of the band.
