Vitriol’s turbulent year has taken another wild turn, as nearly the entire touring lineup reportedly walked out mid-tour—leaving frontman and founding guitarist Kyle Rasmussen stranded at a gas station in Vermont.
The dramatic exit was revealed by guitarist Keith Merrow, who joined Vitriol earlier this year alongside bassist Brett Leier and drummer Andy Vincenzetti. According to Merrow, all three musicians collectively quit the tour on November 24th, staging what he called a “mass exodus.”
Merrow posted a blistering message on social media, claiming the walkout was prompted by what he described as Rasmussen’s anger issues and “cowardly and weak outbursts.”
“He fucked around and found out.
I’ll be home for Thanksgiving, baby.
Sorry Vitriol fans. We had to abandon him at a gas station in Vermont.
Myself, Andy, Brett, and Matt will not take Kyle’s cowardly and weak outbursts of misplaced anger.”
He added that the decision marked “the darkest day of my music career to date.”
Drummer Andy Vincenzetti also confirmed his departure, sharing a more subdued message thanking fans and saying he was focused on the long drive home to Portland.
This marks the second mid-tour lineup implosion for Vitriol in just over a year. In September 2024, then-bassist/vocalist Adam Roethlisberger quit midway through a run, prompting Rasmussen to admit he can be “a difficult person to work with.”
As of press time, Kyle Rasmussen has not issued any public response to the latest exits.
The abandoned run was Vitriol’s first-ever North American headlining tour, with Weeping as the opener. Merrow issued an apology to Weeping following the walkout.

Dustin James Maruca Same plus I missed Vitriol when they came last year
Jor West
They pulled an Attack! Attack! Circa 2008. Fuck around and find out.
This dude needs some serious therapy
Because if you caused Keith Morrow to say “fuck it I’m out”, you might be the problem
Okay but what did he do?
Cam Fischer he’s just an asshole apparently
Cam Fischer Kyle has a reputation for being an insufferable asshole.
Cam Fischer the basic jist from everything I’ve read is dude is admittedly a coke head and he irrationally screamed at the band mates for the last time.

A difficult person to work with or not, abandoning someone 2500 miles away from where they live is a dick move.
They look like clowns
Didn’t those new members know what they were getting themselves into? 30 hr Binge on coke & they all went psycho! Don’t do drugs!
Kyle has no one to blame but himself, because how do you get 17 people to leave your band like that?? I mean, I guess this is what you expect from someone who’s proud of being called the “Mustaine of death metal”
Is that a Hobbit hole?
