While She Sleeps have unveiled Two The Flowers, a short film that serves as a direct sequel to last year’s To The Flowers. Premiering on February 12th, the emotionally charged film delves into themes of loss, resilience, and the ongoing journey toward healing.
In a statement, the band shared:
“On the one-year anniversary of the release of To The Flowers, we present to you Two The Flowers, a short film sequel. This is a reminder that our traumas and grief aren’t confined to a time frame. Almost in every case, there’s a continuous, seemingly everlasting struggle that hides behind a missed call or an ‘I’m fine,’ months and even years later. It’s a reminder that it’s okay to do what you need to do to heal. We didn’t want to leave our character ‘Zach’ behind, and we felt there was more of his story to tell that only a short film could do justice.”
The band emphasized that their creative expression extends beyond music, noting their dedication to crafting immersive, in-house artistic experiences.
“The creative outlet of While She Sleeps is more than just music. Through all areas of our journey, we dedicate ourselves to the detailed and conscious curation of everything you hear, see, and feel, out of the sheer love for it. Our creations aren’t driven by validation; they are personal processes striving to capture and document our inner voice. It starts with the music and is followed by the visual. We strive to represent ourselves honestly, by creating all forms of art and all that embodies Sleeps, in-house and under one roof.”
Alongside the short film, While She Sleeps have also shared a reimagined performance of “Wildfire”, taken from their Basement Live Sessions series.
