William Shatner may have accidentally revealed that his new heavy metal band, The *uckers, has been booked for Coachella 2027.
The 95-year-old Star Trek legend and his daughter, Melanie Shatner, recently appeared on CNN, where they seemingly let the previously unannounced festival appearance slip during the conversation.
While no official lineup has been released for Coachella 2027, Shatner’s comments have fueled speculation that his upcoming metal project will be part of next year’s event in Indio, California.
The potential booking comes as Shatner continues work on his forthcoming heavy metal album, “What The F Is Heavy Metal.” The record is expected to feature contributions from several notable names in rock and metal, including musicians connected to Judas Priest, Black Label Society, Scorpions, and other well-known acts.
Shatner’s venture into heavy metal has generated considerable interest over the last year, particularly due to the caliber of musicians involved in the project and the unexpected nature of the collaboration.
Before any potential appearance at Coachella, fans will get their first look at the project when *The uckers make their live debut at Riot Fest on September 20th in Chicago, Illinois.
The live lineup is expected to include Marcus Nand, Britt Lightning of Vixen, former Ozzy Osbourne and Billy Idol bassist Phil Soussan, and Fred Aching of Powerflo and Fraxures.
If the apparent reveal proves accurate, The *uckers would be set to perform at one of the world’s most prominent music festivals when Coachella 2027 takes place across April 9-11 and April 16-18 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.
At this time, neither Coachella organizers nor Shatner’s camp have officially confirmed the booking.
