With A Vengeance have returned with their second single, “Oblivion,” accompanied by a new music video featuring Joe Letz of Lindemann.
The band brings together former Bad Wolves members Tommy Vext, Chris Cain and Kevin Creekman, alongside Chimaira drummer Austin D’Amond and Xander Raymond Charles. The new track follows the group’s previously released debut single as they continue their rollout toward their first full-length album.
Lyrically, “Oblivion” explores mental health and the potential consequences of psychiatric medication. Vext explained that the band wanted to tackle the subject without turning the song into a straightforward lecture, instead pairing its serious themes with an aggressive musical approach.
“‘Oblivion’ is about questioning what happens when something intended to help starts creating consequences of its own. It’s a serious subject, but we didn’t want to preach — we wanted to make a heavy, aggressive song with a massive chorus and let the video take the idea somewhere completely unhinged.”
The band’s debut album, ‘Born To Survive’, is scheduled to arrive October 30, with With A Vengeance supporting the release with an extensive run of dates across the U.S.
