Wolves In The Throne Room have unveiled a new music video for “Estuary,” the title track from their forthcoming concept album.
The new song offers another preview of the Washington-based black metal band’s next full-length, ‘Estuary’, which is scheduled to arrive October 23 through Relapse Records.
The album takes place in a distant future following the collapse of civilization, with the band’s vocalist and guitarist Nathan Weaver describing a post-apocalyptic world populated by strange creatures, ruined landscapes and supernatural phenomena.
“Our new LP ‘Estuary’ is set 1000 years in the future after the end of civilization. Survivors of a cataclysm wander the haunted ruins. It is a world of mutant creatures and open portals. Post-apocalyptic religion takes form in a wild landscape.”
Weaver also directed the newly released music video for “Estuary,” providing a visual extension of the world established throughout the upcoming concept record.
With ‘Estuary’ arriving later this month, “Estuary” serves as the latest glimpse into the band’s ambitious post-apocalyptic narrative.
