Retro symphonic black metal outfit Worm have officially joined the Century Media roster, setting the stage for their next chapter of necromantic black doom. The band will return on February 13th with a new full-length titled “NECROPALACE”, which arrives today alongside a stylized short-film/music-video hybrid directed by Norman Cabrera, known for his work on Danzig and The Walking Dead.
Vocalist Phantom Slaughter introduced the record’s world with the following:
“Welcome to the domain of dread known as Necropalace. This fortress has kept my memories and nightmares for centuries. Risen from ancient slumber, the curse is once again free to haunt starlit nights. While approaching the icy gates of Castle Ravenblood, a swirling mist begins to form. Phantom figures surround you. Enter if you dare but be warned, the darkness may consume your mortal soul forever. The ultimate evil has returned…”
Recording sessions took place with producer Charlie Koryn, while Arthur Rizk handled mixing and mastering. Adding an extra burst of firepower, the final track features a guest solo from former Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman.
